Comhairle Dáilcheantair

Dún Laoghaire Comhairle Dáilcheantair (CDC) / Constituency Executive comprises of 3 delegates from each local cumann, 3 representatives from Dún Laoghaire Ógra Fianna Fáil, our two Dáil Deputies and the Árd Comhairle Representative.

Every year the CDC elects an executive committee which is charged with administering Fianna Fáil in the constituency of Dún Laoghaire.

The Executive Committee of 2008-2009 consists of the following:

Honorary President - Helen Cuddihy:

Helen Cuddihy was unanamously elected as Honorary President of the local organisation in the May 2008 AGM. Helen paid tribute to the former Honorary President, the late Bill Harvey and remembered his hard work on behalf of the Party, the people of the local area and especially for Glasthule. She thanked the members for their support and the "honour"  of serving as local President of the organisation. Helen has been a long standing members of the Fianna Fáil Party. She has been a member of the Party's National Executive and is a member of the Hudson Groome Cumann (Glasthule/Sandycove Cumann).

Cathaoirleach (Chairman) - Tom Kiernan:

Tom was elected Cathaoirleach of Dún Laoghaire Fianna Fáil in May 2008. This is Tom's 3rd term to serve as Cathaoirleach of the local organisation. He is  a member of the Mounttown/Sallynoggin Cumann.

Leas-Cathaoirleach (Vice-Chair) - Nuala Halpin:

Nuala is a long standing member of the local organisation here in Dún Laoghaire. Nuala has served on the party's National Executive (Árd Comhairle). Nuala is currently Chairperson of the Dalkey Cumann.

Runaí Oinigh (Honorary Secretary) - Morgan Shelley:

Morgan was elected at the 2007 AGM of Dún Laoghaire Fianna Fáil C.D.C. He formerly served on the C.D.C. officer board as the Youth Officer. Morgan is a barrister by profession and is also a Runaí of the Booterstown Cumann.

Cisteoirí Oinigh (Honorary Treasurer) - John Power:

John is serving his first term on the C.D.C. officer board. John is a member of the Hudson Groome Cumann (Glasthule/Sandycove Cumann). John is brother of Minister Peter Power TD (Limerick East constituency).

Cisteoirí Oinigh (Honorary Treasurer) - Mary O'Kennedy:

Mary was elected as the constituency PRO in the 2007 AGM. She was elected as a Treasurer in May 2008. Mary is the daughter of former Fianna Fáil TD Michael O'Kennedy. She is also a member of the Shankill Cumann.

Oifigeach Ballraiochta (Membership Officer) - James Dunne:

James is orginally from Offaly but is now a member of the Glenageary/Rochestown Cumann. This is Jame's first term to serve on the Comhairle Dáil Ceantar (C.D.C.)

Árd Comhairle (National Executive Representative) - Michael Cotter:

Michael represents the members of Dún Laoghaire Fianna Fáil on the Party's National Executive (Árd Comhairle). He is a member of the Blackrock Cumann.
