

PROFILE:
Cormac is a Councillor for the Dún Laoghaire Local Electoral Area (LEA).
Cormac was educated at Harold Boys' National School, Dalkey, Presentation Brothers College, Glasthule and further at the Institute of Public Relations and the Institute of Public Administration.
Cormac was first elected in June 2004, taking the second seat in the Dún Laoghaire Local Electoral Area. In doing so Cormac made history becoming the youngest ever member of Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council and one of the youngest Councillors in the country.
In July 2004 he was elected by the County Council to serve on the board of the Dún Laoghaire Drugs Task Force and the Dún Laoghaire Vocational Education Committee (V.E.C.). Cormac is also a member of the Environment and Culture, Community and Amenities Special Policy Committees (S.P.C.) on the Council Cormac also serves on the Beaufort Day Care Centre, Glasthule which assist the elderly with their day care needs.
In 2006 Cormac was elected by his party colleagues as Whip of the group, making him one of the youngest party Whip's in Ireland.
Cormac is also a member of the Dublin Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (DSPCA) and the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (I.S.P.C.A.). Locally Cormac is a board member of the Dún Laoghaire Town Football Club, Dún Laoghaire VEC and the Beaufort Day-Care Centre (Glasthule).
