The local cumann (branch) is the most important element of Fianna Fáil. Members of the cumann meet monthly to discuss issues of local and national importance with their public representatives. Cumann members also carry out a regular programme of activity on a wide range of social, economic and political issues.
Members of a cumann have a direct input into party policy by electing delegates to the Comhairle Dáil Ceantair, the Árd Comhairle and the party's annual Árd Fheis.
